PMI-ACP Experience

Shortly after completing the PMP exam and getting my certificate, I realized something….

PMP isn’t suitable for what I do at all!

At the time I was an Agile Project manager so guess what I did?

Started studying for the PMI-ACP exam.

This was before the PMP had included agile methodologies and hybrid project management. It made perfect sense for me as I found out after completing the PMP you need gather PDUs to renew the certificate.

Studying for the PMI-ACP I went about it in a similar manner:

Agile was what I did day in and day out but I was 100% not going to make the same mistake as last time doing practice exams…

…and getting used to the double negative questions that PMI writes to trick you!

The PM Prepcast Premium PMI-ACP Simulator is all that you need to pass the exam.

Great practice exams and insight-driven training material setting you up for success!! The big difference this time round I created an epic list of all agile tools and techniques.

For those self-studiers out there….start with our complete agile project management guide.

Agile Methodologies

Agile as a concept is the iterative planned approach. Agile unlikely waterfall expects changes to the plan due to uncovering new information.

This approach is nothing new. Kanban dates back to Toyota’s lean manufacturing pull system.

the most popular methodologies in software development are Scrum, Scrumban, or XP. Kanban is popular in the operations and portfolio planning level.

Agile Tools

I created a list of 100 Agile & techniques with that correspond to exam outline. You can find a pdf here which you should be familiar with.
